REDDITCH continued their title push at the weekend with a tight 10-6 win at neighbours and fellow contenders Five Ways Old Edwardians.

Mark Rose's men ground out a result in muddy conditions at the Hollywood club to stay two points behind leaders Yardley with a game in hand.

The result dealt a blow to Five Ways' title ambitions and left the Kingfishers handily-placed after seven matches.

But the Bromsgrove Road club have the worst points difference in the top half of the North Midlands One and Rose knows his troops will have to start putting more points on the board to win an instant return to the Midlands West Four South they were relegated from last season.

Redditch have the perfect chance to bolster their points tally at home to struggling Tenbury on Saturday (ko 2.15pm).

Holidaying back row Tim Aris is set for a place on the bench and fly half Wil Wilson could be joining him after recovering from a broken thumb.
