This was to be the last play staged at Studley Village Hall as it makes way for a new hall in April and what a befitting way to bow out in style.
Ayckbourn's Chorus of Disapproval is a comedy about a drama society trying to stage its show amongst the affairs and back stabbing of its members.
This very funny show was well executed, well attended and well received.
Bob Beard played Dafydd, the society's Welsh director brilliantly and maintained a superb accent (which is not easy to do).
Dafydd had to keep his players from killing each other and keep decorum but then found out that his lead man was sleeping with his wife!
Sean Keane played the lead well as the hapless actor who kept "accidentally" becoming involved with various situations.
A large cast, including new members, boasted well-played supporting roles in a well crafted show under the guidance of director Liz Cund and guarantees a great new beginning when the Cygnet Players tread their new boards next year.
