BROMSGROVE Labour claimed their first win of the season in a sensational 17-goal thriller in Division Four on Sunday.

The home side beat Alvechurch Sports Social 10-7 to end a run of 11 straight league defeats -- but they're still bottom of the table.

The Chequers went top thanks to a convincing 6-0 victory at Kimal Athletic. Victoria Barnt Green Reserves jump to fifth after travelling to Barley Mow Reserves and winning 3-2.

In Division Two, Ringspanners kept up the pressure on second placed Barley Mow with a 4-2 victory at home to Turks Head Reserves.

Droitwich Meadow Celtic pulled off a good result in Division Three away to second placed Southside United. The Spa side held United to a 1-1 draw and are now five points clear of bottom side Greyhound Hunters.

In the third round of the Gordon Bridgewater Cup, Division Four strugglers Riverside Rangers were no match for Alvechurch Darts, the Division One side romping to an 11-1 victory.

Unbeaten Division Two leaders Merlin needed penalties to see off battling Meadow Park Premier after the Division One basement side had held out for a 3-3 draw.

The other tie saw Bromsgrove General clinch their place in the next round with a 4-2 victory over visitors Forest Falcons.

Real Archers were in seventh heaven after their 7-2 victory over fellow Division Four outfit Freemasons in the LMS Shield while Stourport Town sneaked through to the Rose Bowl semi-finals with a 1-0 victory over Olympico.

Mostyn Rangers continued their run in the Bromsgrove Charity Cup with a 3-1 victory over Wychbold RBL but it was the end of the road for Turks Head who crashed out 6-3 at Dipdale Snooker Club.

Division One Crabmill proved too hot for Sporting Harbourne of Division Three while the other cup clash Victoria Barnt Green bow out of the competition 2-1 at Mill Fields OB.

The only game in the Youth Division saw Droitwich Spa slip to their seventh straight defeat - a 3-0 reverse at Headless Cross.
