FAIRFIELD failed to pick up any points when they played local rivals Bromsgrove Athletico at the Ryland Centre.

The visitors were slow to get going and Athletico made them pay when they took the lead after 15 minutes.
Gary Dallaway was allowed to run with the ball and his pass found Mark Sweet who lost his marker before scoring a fine goal from 15 yards.
Things didn't get any better for Fairfield when on the half hour mark Carl Downing was adjudged to have brought down Leon Broadhurst in the box.
Athletico keeper Jim McGettrick stepped up and scored from the penalty spot.
The second half was a much more even affair but Athletico increased their lead through Andrew Rea after a defensive mix-up.
The visitors got their game together 20 minutes from the end and a good move down the left between Paul Newbon and Matt Mogg resulted in Dave Fox scoring a well taken goal.
Five minutes later, Fairfield thought they had reduced the arrears when Fox put the ball in the net again - but it was disallowed for offside.
