THE holders of the Bromsgrove Charity Minor Cup were deservedly beaten 3-1 by Brom-sgrove Advertiser/Messenger league opponents Mostyn Rangers.
Wychbold RBL were poor as Mostyn looked more dangerous and took a deserved lead before half time. RBL's Andy Crowther was the only one who seemed to keep going. If his team-mates had followed his example the result may have been different.
The weather was bitterly cold but that was no excuse as Mostyn outpaced the visitors.
In the second half, RBL made a fight of it but it was Rangers who found the back of the net again with a well taken goal.
RBL could not match the skill of their opponents and conceded a third midway through the second half.
Young Mark Clements pulled a consolation goal back for RBL but the hosts never looked in any danger of conceding further goals.
