AFTER last week's defeat, Bromsgrove worked hard and pushed their opposition to the limit.
Bromsgrove Hockey Club Ladies' Second XI 1
Tenbury Ladies 1
Tenbury, who have not lost a game this season, defended and counter attacked as Bromsgrove constantly surged up field.
Town's pressure paid off when a move involving Lorraine Murphy and Jules Crawford found Helen Harkiss who swept the ball home.
Town fought for every ball and hit the post several times.
The second half determination of Tenbury was rewarded when they equalised.
They were then constantly frustrated by the tight Bromsgrove defence and superb goalkeeping.
Non-stop attacking by both sides created a host of near misses.
One of the closest efforts was Lindsay Hyde's pass across the goal which was just out of reach of a Bromsgrove stick.
The player of the match accolade was well earned by Sarah Mason.
Bromsgrove Seconds take a break from their league campaign next week when they travel to Badsey for a friendly.
