THE speed limit on a killer road in Wythall will not be reduced until next year despite a campaign by residents being given the green light in July.
Teenager Ryan Pettigrew, from Hollywood, died after being knocked off his bike in Middle Lane in June.
Ryan's parents Ros and Colin Pettigrew led a huge campaign, including a mass protest, to reduce the speed limit along the road.
The campaign was successful and residents were told part of Middle Lane would be cut from a 60mph limit to 30mph by the end of August.
But Mrs Pettigrew said her agony had been prolonged because legalities have delayed the speed limit being reduced until at least the middle of January.
The county council's highways manager for Bromsgrove district, Jon Fraser, said there were plans for Middle Lane before the accident.
