A STUDLEY care home has been given national recognition after being cited as an example of good practice in a new publication.
Four Acres was praised in the "Involving Relatives and Friends Good Practice Guide" which is published by the Relatives and Residents Association.
This is a charity which works to improve the quality of life for residents in care homes by involving those close to them in their care.
The book details many of the concerns people have about care facilities for older people and comes up with a good practice guide, using real examples, of how to avoid such problems occurring.
Four Acres, run by Warwickshire Social Services, is particularly praised in the publication because of the way in which it encourages family and friends of those in care to get involved in the day to day running of the home.
Through this, they help to contribute to the care their loved ones are receiving.
