REDDITCH Citizens Advice Bureau has been awarded a massive £200,000 grant, writes Julian Seva.
The Unicorn Hill bureau will use the cash to fund an outreach advice service for ethnic minority communities in the town.
The organisation applied for the lottery cash after an outreach scheme was tried temporarily last year with great success.
The money, to be used over the next three years, will pay for childcare and travel expenses for volunteers in places like the mosque and All Women's House.
A project supervisor will also be paid for to recruit the volunteers.
Ms Docherty said she was hoping to get the new scheme off the ground by April.
But volunteers are being sought already. When the scheme gets going they will be given full training.
About 20 volunteers will be needed over the three years.
