AN Oakenshaw woman has missed out on more than £4,000 prize money on the Irish Lottery after omitting to put a cross in two boxes.
Yvonne McKeon, 40, from Oakenshaw, entered the November 7 lottery draw but was gutted when she could not collect her winnings even though four of her numbers had come up.
Miss McKeon failed to mark the boxes relating to whether she was entering the Wednesday or Saturday draw and the first or second draw on those days.
But the Wilf Gilbert betting shop in Alcester Street, where she placed the bet, has been backed up by the Independent Betting Arbitration Service (IBAS).
Miss McKeon, who is eight months pregnant, said she was 'disgusted' she could not collect the prize and is determined to fight for the money.
She claims staff understood which draw she was entering.
Wilf Gilbert said he was sympathetic but relied entirely on IBAS' ruling.
