AN Oakenshaw woman has been unable to find the graves of her two baby sons since a churchyard was renovated, writes Julian Seva.
Janet Liscombe is desperate for help to find the graves of Anthony, who died in 1975 and David, who died in 1976.
David's birthday would have been at the weekend - which has made the matter even more upsetting for Miss Liscombe.
The babies were buried without headstones at the Church of the Holy Ascension in Mappleborough Green.
Miss Liscombe, 43, always knew where the graves were in relation to an old tree stump.
But since the graveyard was tidied up and the stump removed, she has no idea where to put flowers.
Miss Liscombe would now like to hear from anyone who may have knowledge of the churchyard or old plans.
Church vicar The Rev Richard Deimel said the records from that period were thin and that the tree stump had been removed when a new path and a sculpture were installed about two years ago.
Mr Deimel said he would see what he could do.
Anyone who can help Miss Liscombe can call 07762 283793.
