THE site manager of a Droitwich housing development has been named one of the best in the region by a national house-building body.
Garry Johnson, of William Davis Homes, has been named a regional winner in the National House Building Council's (NHBC) Pride in the Job 2001 awards.
Quality
Mr Johnson has been recognised for the quality of his work at The Ridings development in Copcut and will now go on to represent the region at the national finals in London next month.
"This competition plays a key part in NHBC's drive to raise standards and promote best practice house building," said Peter Watton, NHBC regional director.
"To get this far, out of 17,000 site managers in the country, is a phenomenal achievement and a testament to the skill and dedication of the winners."
Recognised
Other Worcestershire site managers to be recognised were Sean Healey, of McLean Homes, for his work at Great Oaks in Bromsgrove and Chris Turner, of David Payne Homes in Bromsgrove, for his work on the Avonbrook development in Wyre Piddle, near Evesham.
Terry Cole, of Prowting Homes, Bromsgrove, was also recognised for his work at St Mary's Park, Hereford.
