A DRUNKEN man who refused to move from outside his estranged wife's home has been bound over to keep the peace.

Marco Velasco's spouse refused to let him in when she realised he had been drinking just after 10pm on Tuesday, December 4, a court was told.

Fearing his unpredictable behaviour when intoxicated, she stood her ground and eventually the 31-year-old went away.

But just before midnight he returned and started shouting when she would not let him in.

Neighbours called the police, knowing there had been incidents at the couple's former home.

''Confused''

Velasco, who had been bound over in the past, refused to co-operate with officers and was taken to Malvern police station in a "confused" state.

Mark Soper, prosecuting yesterday at Droitwich Magistrates Court, said Velasco, of Langland Close, Malvern, admitted he had been drinking before going to the house.

Velasco, representing himself, admitted breaching the peace and was told that his complaint that someone had smacked him in the face before the police arrived, should be pursued after the hearing.

He was bound over to keep the peace for 12 months in the sum of £100 and ordered to pay £10 costs.
