CHILDREN who have to spend the festive season in hospital received a welcome treat thanks to a Worcestershire Christmas Tree farm.
Leigh Sinton Farm and Nurseries have donated Christmas trees to the Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital in Birmingham for the past four years.
This year, as a special treat, the children were invited to select their own trees at the farm, near Malvern.
The youngsters also visited Santa's grotto, had a picnic and rode on a steam engine during their day out.
"We're happy to donate the Christmas trees to such a worthy cause and this year we decided to invite the patients to the grotto," said Walter Beard, owner of Leigh Sinton Farm and Nurseries.
