A PARK-and-ride scheme which was introduced in Kidderminster last month in a bid to stave off a parking crisis is beginning to attract shoppers, it has been reported.
Last week's article in the Shuttle/Times & News and new signs put up by the AA have begun to draw drivers to Stadium Close car park by the Harriers ground.
Councillor Pauline Hayward, Wyre Forest District Council's transportaton portfolio holder, said the service attracted 41 people over the weekend and 18 people in the first two days of this week.
She added: "I really hope the public continue to support this initiative which provides a viable short-term alternative for people visiting Kidderminster."
The park and ride service leaves every half an hour from Stadium Close, six days a week, from 8am.
