HOCKEY: A loss at fellow strugglers Ludlow brought Chaddesley Corbett's recent run of good form to an abrupt end in DTZ League West Midlands Division Two.
The villagers only had themselves to blame for a disappointing display leading to the 3-0 defeat.
In a closely contested first half, neither side looked capable of scoring.
But a mistake on the edge of the D from Mat Boden allowed Ludlow to break the deadlock.
The second half followed the same pattern and after squandering nine short corners Chaddesley allowed Ludlow to wrap up the points with two late strikes.
The game was marred by a serious injury to the home captain who left the field by ambulance.
