CAN I through your newspaper say a big thank you to the kind young people who so kindly helped me last Thursday (November 29) evening when my car broke down, firstly outside Tesco's (Evesham).
A young man leaving work at 10pm, saw me trying to start my car, without success. He offered to push start me, then fetched a colleague to help when this failed he went over to the garage to find some jump leads. Whilst he was away my car started so I left the area without personally thanking him for his time and kindness, unfortunately I did not get his name. A few minutes later my car stalled again in the middle of the road. A young couple in a car following me kindly offered to help, when my car eventually started they insisted on following me home to make sure I got home safely. The car did stall again out on a dark country road and I was so grateful they were behind me, when the car got going again they followed me until I was safely home, they live at Broadway the young man was called Russell. I was immensely grateful that they offered to help me, but to them to insist on following me home to make sure I arrived home safely was remarkable.
We hear so many negative things about young people that I hope you will find a little space in your newspaper to give them some praise along with my sincere thanks.
