I VERY much enjoyed the open day at Caldwall Tower, Kidderminster's oldest secular building, being the only remaining part of the former Caldwall Castle, a four-towered medieval manor.
The magnificent interior of the 14th century building is a tribute to all the hard work, research and expense incurred over the last four years by present owner, Richard Davies.
Inside the building, subtle lighting gives an almost magical feeling of being transported back in time.
I am sure the 300 or so visitors that day were all as impressed as I was, and I hope many people will take advantage of future openings of the tower, and share the experience I enjoyed so much.
