STRUGGLING Chaddesley Corbett fell 5-1 at home to promotion-chasing Sedgley White Lions in West Midlands League Division One South.
The villagers were scrapping around for 11 players due to late withdrawals and injuries with boss Martin Westcott having to play the entire match.
Physio Chris Knight and matchday secretary Allen Stock were also involved in the second half.
Midfielder Andy Shuck deputised in goal and could not be faulted for any of the goals.
Sedgley led 2-0 at half-time thanks to two spectacular finishes.
Firstly, Brett Love hit a free-kick into the corner of the net then Kevin Waite struck a rocket from an acute angle giving Shuck no chance at all.
Chaddesley had some chances but they were encamped in their own half for most of the match.
Their leading scorer, 19-year-old Craig Pratt, took a bad knock and battled on for a while until being replaced by Knight.
To make matters worse, striker Matt Baynton was involved in a heavy challenge and had to be replaced by Stock.
Waite and David McKenzie put Sedgley 4-0 ahead before Sean Williams pulled a goal back with a fine header.
Again Chaddesley created openings but never really looked like scoring again without a recognised striker.
Lee Harris completed the scoring for Sedgley.
Chaddesley had two of the best players on the field in Craig Webb and Gavin Knight.
Fixture, Saturday: Chaddesley Corbett v Malvern Rangers (kick-off 1.45pm, players to meet at Longmore for 12.45pm).
Squad: Shuck, Roberts, Ash, Darby, Knight, B Burton, Phillips, Birch, R Burton, Baynton, C Pratt, A Pratt, Vogel, Williams, Morgan.
