RECENTLY I had to spend some time in Ronkswood Hospital (Worcester Royal Infirmary).
I do most deeply regret the loss of the excellent services and facilities at Kidderminster Hospital, and regret the wilful destruction of our services by those who, in my opinion, did not have the best interests of patients in mind.
I also found at first hand the difficulties created for visitors by the location of Worcester hospitals, compared to Kidderminster.
However, I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Ronkswood who, despite being badly overworked, were caring, dedicated and cheerful.
I must also praise the calm professionalism of the Kidderminster paramedic ambulance crew who took me to Ronkswood.
