AUDIENCE members should be able to expect a professional performance at Bewdley Choral Society's Christmas concert.
This is because the group's new musical director, Rachel Greenwood - who took up the position in September - has taken her role so seriously she has even taken singing lessons to help her demonstrate techniques to the choir.
Saturday's concert, at St Anne's Church, is called Sing Gloria and includes works by Benjamin Britten, Bach, Vivaldi and a new piece by Judith Weir called My Guardian Angel.
Rachel said ahead of her first concert: "It's a very daunting, exciting and nerve-wracking time as the final rehearsals loom large.
"I'm especially excited about the Judith Weir piece though as it's new and hasn't been heard widely at all.
"I should warn people, though, that there is some audience participation in it which should make it extra fun."
