A WORCESTER man smashed a window after he found his girlfriend in a "compromising position" with his brother.
Clifford Bowen was at a party in Cirencester Place, Warndon, held by his girlfriend, Tina Rushton.
Droitwich magistrates heard that he went round to the house the following day to find out where he stood but he lost his temper.
"She didn't want to let him in and she could see he was getting wound up," said Peter Parsons, prosecuting.
"For no reason he struck a window, breaking it. He fully admitted breaking the window. It was jealousy and the fact that she wouldn't speak to him."
Bowen, of Glenthorne Avenue, Brickfields, admitted criminal damage as well as being in breach of an 18-month conditional discharge, which was imposed in February.
"This was something to do with his girlfriend," said Mr Parsons, explaining the conditional discharge.
"They had an argument in the house and he lost his temper.
"He picked up a piece of a cupboard, which he was working on, and threw it down the stairs.
"Unfortunately, it hit her in the face causing a cut lip."
Magistrates heard that 31-year-old Bowen had stopped living with Miss Rushton, after the argument, but the relationship had continued.
On Saturday, November 17, he and some other friends were invited to a party.
"A certain amount of alcohol was drunk," said Nick Roberts, defending.
"He came across her in a compromising position with his brother.
"The following day he came round. He wasn't let in or talked to.
"There were others in the property and they started to laugh. He thought they were laughing at him.
"He responded by throwing a stick."
Magistrates yesterday ordered Bowen to pay a £200 fine for the criminal damage and £50 compensation.
He was also ordered to pay £75 costs. For breaching the conditional discharge he was fined £300. Compensation of £100 and costs of £118 remained.
