THE owner of a designer clothes shop in Worcester faced the music after being caught blaring out tunes without a licence.
Adrian Morcom, the director of Mustard, in Reindeer Court, was told to "pay up or shut up" at London's High Court yesterday or face the prospect of jail.
Mr Morcom's company, Morcom & Smith Ltd, was banned by High Court judge Mr Justice Lloyd from playing any more music at the premises until its licences were brought up to date.
The firm would be in contempt of court - meaning a prison sentence and a hefty fine - if it disobeys the ban, after already facing a legal bill for £1,191.
The order was imposed after the court heard how numbers such as Get Miles, Whippin' Piccadilly and Make No Sound were being played at the shop without a Phonographic Performance Licence (PPL).
