UPLEADON'S Christopher Biddlecombe, aged 19, has won the World Junior Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships at Invercargill, New Zealand.
Christopher, a former student of Hartpury College was among 400 competitors and won with a score of 160/200.
He was part of a highly successful competition for Britain, which also saw gold for the senior and junior teams.
Christopher's shooting went hand in hand with his chosen course of study, a national diploma in Game and Fishery Manage-ment, and he is currently working towards his ultimate goal of representing Great Britain at the 2004 Olympics.
Phil Willis, Chris's former tutor at Hartpury College, said: "I'm delighted for Chris, he has shown great dedication to his shooting and he deserves a place on the Olympic team."
