THE annual Christmas fair at Hanley Swan Primary School raised just over £1,000.
Headteacher Mary Pick said last Saturday's event was a great success.
"It was absolutely brilliant," she said.
"Unlike last year it was not hampered by the floods, so it was really bustling."
The school hall was bedecked with decorations made by the pupils and there was plenty on offer, including seasonal fare such as mince pies and visits to Father Christmas in his grotto.
Mrs Pick said: "We're so lucky to have such an active parents and friends association."
