FORMER Bloxwich United goalkeeper Neil Olden was today set to be unveiled as United's latest recruit.
Reds boss Rod Brown moved swiftly to sign up the former Blakenall shot-stopper, available after Bloxwich folded, and intends to hand him his United debut in tomorrow's trip to high-flying Clevedon.
Olden will be Brown's second new keeper since joining the club three weeks ago.
Martyn Lakin is set to be sidelined for at least three weeks after suffering a back injury in Tuesday's Worcestershire Senior Cup draw with Solihull.
Redditch assistant manager Gary Whild praised teenager Chris Scott for stepping into the breach on Tuesday.
"In the short spell we have been at the club Chris has done nothing wrong," said the number two.
"But we don't think it's good to keep throwing Chris in goal in the situation we are in and he knows and understands that."
