EX-Mayor Councillor Derek Prodger is frequently seen in the Evening News - pictured with dumped rubbish-dog mess-graffiti-household pests - and tonight (Evening News, November 29) is featured making comments about dumped fridges and recent legislation requiring them to be made safe.
Councillor Prodger (above) says: "We have left it till the 11th hour."
Why? The Conservatives, with their allies the Independents, are now in power in the city. It is their responsibility. Coun Prodger seems to think he's in opposition, continually highlighting the failures of his administration and pointing them out.
Let's see, in the budget proposals that are soon to be discussed, how all these items are addressed and resolved.
We all want to know how it is to be done! In the ward I represent, rubbish, dog dirt and human "dirt" are an issue. Traffic regulation enforcement is a problem.
The Independent/ Tory alliances have said they are going to introduce the decriminalisation of parking.
This needs to be enforced and paid for.
Having rejected the proposals by the Labour group, I now wait to see how it will happen... or not!
COUN RICHARD BIRD,
St Clements Ward.
Worcester.
