THE vice-chairman of Alcester Round Table has urged residents to support youngsters who are appealing for an additional skateboarding area in the town.
Following an article in the Alcester Chronicle, Mark Winter voiced his approval for what a group of youngsters want to see in a part of Alcester.
Several young people approached the town council four weeks ago to ask for an additional skating site in the Newport Road area.
Youngsters said the existing park was not suitable for them as it was at the opposite end of town, was badly lit and was only suitable for more experienced skaters.
After the group sent out a questionnaire, they received many responses, several of which were critical.
