EIGHT Chase students from Malvern competed in the Worcestershire Schools Badmin-ton Championship and achieved much success even though some were playing in a tournament for the first time.
There were three sections U17 boys, U15 girls and U15 boys. In the U17 boys Paul Edwards and Shaun Kabani cruised to victory, winning all their games and beating the second placed pair 11-1.
Rebecca Crack and Claire Puttick played exceptionally well to win all of their games, many coming from behind to win the U15 girls competition.
In the U15 boys Richard Price and Theo Cranwell played extremely well to win all their games before losing in the final to excellent opponents.
Anthony Lampitt and Mark Hooper came third in the U17 boys event.
