THE first steps to the erection of the controversial bandstand in Sanders Park have been taken, as council chiefs gave the go-ahead to put work out to tender.
The £50,000 project was given the green light at a full district council meeting on November 27 and Bromsgrove District Council is now hoping a suitable company will be found before Christmas, in order to get the project completed in time for the Queen's Golden Jubilee next June.
