Clevedon 6 Redditch United 0
THE only way is up for Redditch manager Rod Brown after his side crashed to their heaviest defeat of the season in a Clevedon horror show.
New keeper Neil Olden had a debut to forget, shipping six goals and conceding a penalty for the second.
And it was a case of slight returns for two other fit-again Reds.
Defender Paul West was red carded for a deliberate handball after 49 minutes with the score at 3-0 and substitute Mark Swann, also back from the treatment table, was dismissed in the last minute.
To add insult to injury, Rushall Olympic are still in the FA Vase after a 3-0 win over Barwell on Saturday so United target Chris Homer could opt to stay put rather than linking up with Redditch to help plug a defence in disarray.
