A BROMYARD postman is celebrating after raising more than £100,000 for the County Air Ambulance.
Keith Lane reached the first-class milestone after handing over his latest donation of £4,000 to the charity.
It was given to the air ambulance's Paul Weir by the Mayor of Bromyard, Councillor Joan Dauncey, on Saturday.
Mr Lane, who has worked for Royal Mail for the past 47 years, has become known as "the helicopter man" thanks to his efforts.
He became involved in the campaign eight years ago after hearing a plea for funds on the radio.
"This is a vital service and their helicopters can reach the most remote places and at great speed," he said.
"I look forward to raising even more funds and am very grateful for the extraordinary support of individuals and businesses in Herefordshire and the surrounding counties."
Donations can be sent directly to Cole Bishop & Co Accountants, 16 The Square, Bromyard, HR7 4BP.
