KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby hopes to have wrapped up two new deals by the end of the week.
Both involve players who have already made a major impact at Aggborough -- striker Colin Larkin and midfielder Richie Appleby.
Molby has been given permission by Harriers chairman Lionel Newton to try to keep Larkin until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has spent three months at Aggborough on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, scoring three goals in 14 appearances.
His last game under the current deal will be in Saturday's Nationwide League Division Three clash against Exeter City at St James Park.
Molby said: "We are going to ask Wolves about Colin. We have left it as long as we possibly can and I have had permission from our chairman to keep him to the end of the season.
"We need permission now from Wolves and I do that this week."
Appleby's month loan from Swansea City is now over and he has been considering the offer of a permanent move.
"He came in to see me yesterday morning and there doesn't seem to be a lot between us with terms, so I think possibly within the next 24 hours he should sign a permanent contract with us."
Appleby, 26, has made four appearances for Harriers, scoring once. The former England Youth international has enjoyed his spell at Aggborough following his loan move to link up again with Molby.
The Dane signed him from Ipswich Town when he was in the managerial 'hot-seat' at Swansea.
The former Liverpool star's efforts to strike deals with Appleby and Larkin come in the wake of last week's successful conclusion over new contracts for Dean Bennett and gStuart Brock.
Former Bromsgrove Rovers campaigner Bennett has put pen to paper on a new two and a half year deal, while Brock has agreed a two year extension to his contract.
Meanwhile, Drewe Broughton is hoping Kidderminster's three-week break from Division Three action will not harm their play-offs hopes.
Harriers have not played a league match since beating Rushden & Diamonds 3-0 on November 24 and have wait until this Saturday before returning to the fray at Exeter.
"It is a worry that we will struggle to pick up the momentum again," said striker Broughton, whose side are just three points off the play-off zone.
