WORCESTER City will be without Jon Holloway and Phil Stant for their latest defence of the Dr Martens League Cup against Bedworth United tonight (7.45).
The second round clash also pits the St George's Lane club against Greenbacks striker Adam Webster -- subject of a long-running transfer bid by City.
Holloway is out due to work commitments and Stant has an Achilles problem but John Bar-ton's new signings -- Mark Blount, Leon Jackson and Stewart Hadley are all expected to start.
Bedworth have already claimed the scalp of Dr Martens Premier Division high-flyers Tamworth in a 4-1 win, a match watched by Barton.
"They were four up after 25 minutes and on that night they were outstanding," he said.
Captain Carl Heeley knows the Greenbacks will be looking for another upset but is also aware it is City's last chance for cup glory this season.
"It will be a tough game and they are going to fancy their chances of causing an upset but it's also a good draw for us as well," he said.
"It's the last cup competition we're in and the interest we created last year by winning was great. We would like to repeat the success this year."
Heeley is set to line up alongside Mark Blount again and said it would be a real asset if he joined the club on a permanent basis.
"Martin and I have been under a lot of pressure for most of the season and we desperately needed someone to help us. I thought Blounty did very well for us," he said.
"I don't know what he's going to do because Burton could be playing in the Conference next year but he's a good player to play alongside.
"I thought both him and Stewart Hadley did well considering they haven't played much. Hadley looked a class act and Leon Jackson also did well."
Barton confirmed the decision on Webster was now in the hands of the Dr Martens Western Division club.
"We've increased our offer and the ball is now in their court. We will not increase it any further," he said.
Formcast: City to win 2-1.
