I WOULD like to comment on your article headlined "Diabetic facing needle dilemma (November 27). To the diabetic man who does not want to be named, I also have a needle clipper, which I use. But I still think people are put at risk by the needles, clipped or not.
I am still, under no circumstances, going to put my needles and lancets, which you cannot clip, in a jam jar or bottle.
Something must be done. When you are given a sharps box by your health centre, you should be able to hand it in for disposal and given a new one in exchange.
