A DRUG dealer who was found with a "considerable" amount of cannabis in his car has been ordered to appear in front of Worcester Crown Court.

Droitwich magistrates told Christopher Cameron-Waller that their powers of sentencing would not be strong enough after he admitted two counts of possessing cannabis resin and two counts of possessing the drug with intent to supply.

Magistrates heard how the cannabis resin was found on the 24-year-old after police carried out a spot check on the forecourt of the Tesco petrol garage in Evesham at 1.20am on Tuesday, July 31.

Magistrates were told how police found the Class B drugs in a Vauxhall Astra in which the defendant was travelling, as well as more than £700 in cash on him.

Suzanne Llewellyn, prosecuting, told magistrates police then searched the defendant's home in Bridge Street, Pershore, and found cannabis resin in his bedroom and living room. She added officers also found a set of electric scales.

"A considerable amount of the drug was found," she said.

"In interview, he was frank, saying he had bought it that afternoon. He admitted supplying and said he had been for about a year."

Magistrates ordered Cameron-Waller to appear at crown court on Friday, January 18.
