PUPILS in Kempsey have been learning about the bear necessities of wildlife - and raising money for endangered species.
Children at the village's primary school raised £560.51 for the World Wildlife Fund during a sponsored walk on the Malvern Hills.
A spokeswoman for the school said the youngsters, aged between seven and nine, completed a project on the WWF before Tom Haynes, from the charity, collected the cash.
"Mr Haynes spoke to the children in assembly and explained about all the work they do around the world," the spokeswoman said.
"They really enjoyed the project and seeing where their money would be going."
