REDDITCH market traders will decide in January whether to continue their fight to stay in their temporary home around St Stephen's Church.
On Thursday, a traders' committee met Redditch councillors and council officers to discuss a way forward.
But the council is still adamant it will not break a contract with Thornfield, which is developing a new area for the market in the Kingfisher Centre revamp.
Market Traders' Committee chairman Chris Sutton said all traders would meet in the third week of January and decide whether they still wanted to campaign to stay around St Stephen's Church.
Council leader Albert Wharrad said the council could still not allow the traders to stay where they are indefinitely.
