ONLY 824 out of 3,000 residents have responded to a survey on crime and disorder in Redditch, prompting suggestions townsfolk could be suffering consultation overload, writes Becky Procter.
A team of consultants carried out the survey across six districts in the county, including Worcester, but the lowest number of returned questionnaires came from Redditch.
Residents were asked a whole range of questions regarding safety, their fear of crime and which crimes concerned them most.
The results are being fed back to Redditch Community Safety Partnership, which includes Redditch Council and police.
The partnership is meeting to analyse the results of the survey and look at suggestions made by specially created focus groups.
A draft strategy will then be drawn up, listing priority areas to combat crime and improve people's quality of life.
The draft will go out for consultation before a final plan is launched in April.
