KINGS Norton are set to mix and match for Saturday's friendly trip to Warwickshire One neighbours Alcester.
Captain Mark Waudby, available again after work commitments, wants to field his strongest side against Coventry Welsh the following week.
Kings, minus Waudby and centre Ian Jackson, eased their relegation fears with a timely 26-19 weekend win over Dunlop.
And with second from bottom Stourport suffering a shock loss to Midlands West Four South strugglers Woodrush, third from bottom Kings won a three point cushion over the bottom two.
A win over the side immediately above them on Saturday, December 22, could see Norton, relegated last season, climb into mid-table and winger Paul McGlynn said that was more important than Saturday's friendly (ko 2.30pm).
Jackson is set to return against Coventry and prop Ian Buckle is back in the reckoning after playing for one of the reserve sides on Saturday.
