Five star
Can this woman do no wrong? It would seem not. But then with a voice like Gabrielle's, she could probably sing the contents of the Yellow Pages and make it sound melodic and meaningful.
But she does not just sing brilliantly, her writing skills are also superb and she wrote, with others, the majority of songs on this album.
Even when covering other people's hits, such as Walk On By, Gabrielle still manages to do them justice, something which can rarely be said about artists who bring out covers.
As well as the popular and much loved songs such as Rise, Out Of Reach and If You Ever, there are also some less well-known songs.
One of the songs has only just been released and another is brand new to the album, not entirely appropriate on an album of 'greatest' songs. But as Gabrielle says: 'It doesn't really qualify as one of my greatest hits- but here's hoping'.
This is a superb album.
