A HEADLESS Cross mum and daughter are aiming for sunnier climes when they contest the finals of a national tennis tournament in London on Saturday.
Great Britain veterans star Pauline Fisher, 44, and 13-year-old daughter Katherine are competing for the Britannic Asset Management Family Tennis Challenge at the Queens Club, London.
The talented duo started in July and fought their way through to the national final after winning the northern final against Newcastle pair Pat Memery and Kendal Spark at the David Lloyd Tennis Centre, Manchester.
And the Fishers face Barbara and Danielle Snapes of Surrey in the mother/daughter under 15 category at the weekend.
A trip to La Manga, Spain is the prize for the national champs and the Headless Cross pair are confident of triumphing after reaching the same stage in last year's event.
