FOUR town sports clubs are celebrating after scooping cash under the Awards For All grant scheme.
Redditch Sailing Club were the biggest beneficiaries, awarded almost £5,000 towards dinghies and training equipment.
The club has trained young stars like 15-year-old Richard Peacock who is in the running for the Royal Yachting Association Western Zone Young Sailor of the Year and Commodore David Jackson says he wants others to follow in his footsteps.
It has been a bumper spell for Wythall Tennis Club who pocketed £50,000 from the Lottery two years ago.
That windfall paid for a new pavilion and floodlit another court and in the Awards For All scheme the Silver Street club has been given another £4,600.
The lion's share of the cash will be spent on coaching and coaching equipment for the club's juniors but a portion will be spent on improving disabled access to the courts.
Stopwatches and kit are on the shopping list for Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletics Club after their £4,098 windfall.
The club will use the award for equipment and development opportunities.
And Woodrush RFC mini and junior section are set to introduce Wythall pupils to the game with a series of taster sessions paid for by a £3,530 handout.
The money will fund coaching fees and travel for the sessions in primary and secondary schools.
