WYTHALL continued their unbeaten run in Division Three of the Stratford and District League with an excellent win at Chipping Campden B.
First pairing of captain Ian Smith and son Matthew played well and won both of their matches.
They never lost a set but in the second rubber, after winning the first set 6-2 and taking a 4-0 lead the home pair began to fight back.
At one stage a third set seemed on the cards but with Ian dominating the net whenever possible and Matthew forcing errors with his topspin they clinched the set and match-winning tie-break 7-3.
The second pairing of Colin Capper and Rob Blair had mixed fortunes.
Beaten by Campden's first pair they recovered to take the vital rubber in their second match forcing the win.
The scratch pair did well to take a point with Capper's experience vital and Blair, in his first season as a league player, improving.
Wythall sit third and face league leaders Inkberrow before the winter break.
