THE Primrose Hospice Tree of Light Appeal looks set to beat last year's impressive total of £12,000.
With another two weeks to go, the appeal has already raised £11,000.
The Hospice, which cares for people with cancer, has a tree in the Kingfisher Centre around which people can have the name of a loved one who has passed away engraved for a donation.
Their name can also be placed in a Book of Remembrance which is in St Stephen's Church.
The boards around the tree will be updated for a final time on Thursday, December 20 with donations received no later than Wednesday, December 19.
The appeal will run to January 4.
