Pershore Ladies 2,

Stourport III 0

PERSHORE recorded a sixth win in eight league matches when they retur-ned to action after a two-week lay-off.

The home side rarely gave possession away, while solid defending left the home keeper with little to do except cheer on her colleagues.

Pershore's patience was tested as they failed to turn possession into goals until Sarah Nicholson scored from close-range.

It was much the same in the second half and, after a scrappy period of play, Nicholson slotted home her side's second before more goal attempts went astray later in a one-sided game.

Evesham Ladies 0, Droitwich 2

SOME fine individual performances from younger members of the sid failed to spur Evesham to victory in what proved a difficult last match before Xmas.

It was goalless at the interval but a lapse in concentration then gifted the visitors the lead. A lucky break brought Droitwich a second on a day when Bernie Amphlett was named Evesham's player of the match.
