THE rollercoaster ride continued for Stourport Swifts as they suffered a 4-1 Dr Martens League Western Division drubbing at Weston-super-Mare.
A late goal from Kerry Giddings came as little consolation to manager Tim Langford who has now seen his side leak 10 goals in their last three matches.
Weston had the points in the bag by half-time on Tuesday, cruising into a 4-0 interval lead.
Stuart Slater headed the opener on 12 minutes following good work out on the wing by Jimmy Cox.
Giddings went close to levelling on 19 minutes, collecting an Alex Cowley only to push his shot wide from six yards.
Rob Clarke saved well from Mark Richards on 23 minutes only for Jody Bevan to drill home a second from the penalty spot moments later following a foul on Cox by Asa Charlton.
Things went from bad to worse on 32 minutes when a Jan Mulders clearance was charged down.
The ball broke to Slater who, looking yards offside, netted his second of the night.
Player-manager Langford twice went close for Stourport before Weston made it 4-0 on 37 minutes.
A sweeping move ended with Dave Hunt's centre finding Justin Pritchard who headed past Clarke.
Simon Marsh's header forced the home side into a goal-line clearance at the start of the second period before Adam Nicholls went close with a header.
Giddings finally found the net for his first Stourport goal in his current spell four minutes from time from a Langford cross.
But it still needed a number of good saves from Swifts keeper Rob Clarke to keep the tally down in the closing stages.
