STOURPORT Swifts climbed the table on Saturday following their 2-1 victory at Dr Martens League Western Division strugglers Rocester.
And the visitors had star striker Lee Booth to thank for giving them a dream start with the league's leading scorer opening the scoring after just 10 minutes.
Swifts included new signing Kerry Giddings in their side and the former Halesowen Town striker had a hand in the opener.
Giddings linked up with Booth who jinked past two defenders before slotting home.
Booth should have added a second midway through the half but the striker sent a header over the bar with just the keeper to beat after Matt Southwick's cross.
Stourport maintained the upper hand and, on 27 minutes, keeper Matt Boswell did well to turn a Booth effort for a corner.
From the flag-kick, Rocester needed a goal-line clearance from Paul Ede to keep out a Marsh header.
The visitors added a second on 53 minutes when Boswell could only parry a Marsh effort and the ball fell to Alex Cowley who calmly threaded his shot through a crowded area.
Skipper Richard Owen reduced the deficit with a diving header midway through the half but solid defending snubbed out Rocester's challenge.
Instead it was the visitors who went closest to adding to the scoreline.
With 15 minutes to go, Southwick charged at the home defence only to power a shot over the bar.
Man of the match Adam Nicholls then went close in the 85th minute, collecting a Marsh pass only to send a fierce drive just off target.
