A MOTORIST who collided with a woman pedestrian has pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to dangerous driving.
Leighton Mitchell, 20, of Torridon Close, Stourport, injured the victim with his Nissan Bluebird in Castle Road, Kidderminster, on April 8 this year.
Prosecutor Stefan Kolodynski said an original assault charge was encompassed in the driving offence.
He said Mitchell had also pleaded guilty to driving while banned. He had been disqualified for failing to provide a breath specimen a month before injuring the woman.
Judge John Cavell bailed Mitchell for a pre-sentence report and ordered the assault charge to lie on the prosecution file.
He told the defendant that bail did not mean the eventual sentence would be non-custodial. All sentencing options were open.
