WYRE Forest made a dream start before finishing off struggling Bustlehome 4-0 at home in West Midlands League Division One.
The all-important first goal arrived less than a minute into the match when Matthew Beard found Andy Oakes who curled a 25-yarder beyond keeper Appleby.
Forest added a second five minutes later when Richard Costello went on a surging run and coolly slotted into the net.
Costello and Darren Raybould caused havoc in the visitors' defence and two more goals from Raybould put Forest in the driving seat.
They could have scored more than four but poor finishing let Forest down.
However, keeper Darren Pace was needed to make superb saves in the second half as Bustlehome had more of the game.
Pace saved brilliantly from Darby Bracknell and then stopped a penalty from Ian Beavan after Mark Allen had handled in the area.
Late in the game, Stuart Brogan came close with two tremendous shots.
In his first game for the club, Dan Bentley came on to replace an injured Scott Bayliss and played well, while Simon Wills replaced Jack Wassell and worked hard.
Paul Geary won man-of-the-match for his resolute defending.
Fixture, Saturday: Wyre Forest v Mahal (players report to ground for 12.30pm).
